Study Break

So i am here sitting watching tv and making note cards. So i am doing this crazy thing called a maymester. why? well because it is necessary! :) ha I have my second test tomorrow and i just started class last monday! ha how crazy is that. Oh yeh and I have another test on friday! so the good thing about it is I feel like there is not as much material because it is in a short time span.. which is somewhat true but our class is 3 hours long so I am not sure about that. I am actually really enjoying my class. I really am enjoying the pace.

The class is political science but I have a really awesome professor. He is passionate about what he does and he is not bias. So we hear both sides of govt without a biased opinion which is refreshing. Even though I do not really enjoy politics and things that go along with it, this class gets you interested in it. It makes you wonder. It gets you thinking about if I was involved could things about school be different because I was there fighting for decisions? Then it got me thinking if only my teacher was a passionate to make these students love the Lord. If he was as passionate about loving the Lord as he is about politics he could win so many people for Christ. If only. how cool would that be.

Well it got me thinking and then it made me want to take a study break to write about it quickly! study break over... back to studying! :)

Fellowship with cookies!

So i stayed up the latest last night than i have in about a year. I had such a blast though! So a few girls and I met up and make a batch of cookies and just had fun taking and fellowshipping together! Then we decided to go to the late showing of Prince Caspian! It was a great movie but I left upset for some reason. (oh and a little side note parents might want to see it first before they let their children see it. It has a lot of battle scenes and I think that you need to check to see if your children will be affected by it.) I don't know why I was so upset and I still do know understand why. Maybe it felt so real and I didn't want it to happen... who knows! It was really great! it was funny and sad and suspenseful! my favorite character was the DLF! you will get it if you see the movie! so we got out of the movie around 1245 and headed back and we got in and started talking again and hanging out and before i knew it it was 2 before I headed home. It was so much fun getting to know these girls and hanging out with them! we had a lot of fun talking and joking and baking!

That night saved my day! I had a rough day at work because of my kids but I am so glad that I had these girls to be with last night! I felt like i was back in the first few weeks of work and the kids thought i didnt know anything and they would test my authority. It felt like that all over. They started off really well and I was really shocked. But then it took a turn for the worse. We were painting and all of the sudden two of my boys thought it would be SO hilarious to get the paint brushes wet and flick water on each other and everywhere... well with my kids you know what this means is it will turn into a fight and lo and behold as they were cleaning up their mess they began to so the same thing with the paper towels and then began to push each other and verbally argue. So that was the start. Those two boys sat out while i finished cleaning up because they had a difficult time. I then had a talk with both of them. none the less they had points taken away and they sat out outside for 10 min before they could began to play. Oh but that was the beginning! ha. so much more happened. It would be a cycle.. the kids would be really great and then all of the sudden it would change. But through it all i just waited patiently standing until they were obedient and followed instructions! but when i left... i have a weekend to recuperate!

EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THE AGGIE BASEBALL GAME TONIGHT! Now i believe that the tickets are sold out but you can watch it online and it might be on tv. I am not sure! we need every ones support! It is our last series and we are playing t.u. We lost last night but our boys are so great! I know they can pull through and beat the longhorns! whoop! I am so excited! i feel like I haven't been to a game in a long time! and now i am sad that it is going to be the last few games that we have. that is if we don't win! if we win we will have regional and super regional and all that joy! :)

I am excited to say that I am enjoying blogging and getting to understand certain things about it! I hope that it will become routine and an enjoyable part of my life!

The Beginnings!

Well Howdy!

This is my first attempt at blogging! I had a xanga (anyone remember those) in middle school and then of course something new and cooler came along and so i stopped. Well since I am addicted to reading some of the blogs I was thinking ...why shouldn't I start blogging! I might not be as witty or funny as some other amazing people but it would just be fun for me! :) seriously the timing is perfect.

Life has been pretty crazy lately. It is my 4th day of my maymester and I took a test. How crazy is that. I actually like the pace of the maymesters but I guess it is also great that I have a professor who loves the subject and makes it interesting. I am taking political science... and even though this would normally make me cringe or make me fall asleep it is somewhat interesting. I am actually enjoying waking up early to get to my 8:30 class and learning.

Then there is work. which is always interesting. Seriously there is something that goes on everyday. I work for Champions which is an after school program and even though i love my job it has its ups and downs. There is always the cool things to do. Right now it is the floss string braclets. Seriously the second my kids walk in the door they say "Miss Becca Miss Becca.. can we make these things later?" So after 30 minutes of cutting string and teaching how to actually make them they get to work... and about 1 minute into it they want to quit! ha it is quite of frustrating but the Lord is teaching me patience and at the same time I am seeing my kids growing patient as well! it is great! Last weeks thing to do was ...well I dont know what they are called.. but it was those flat plastic string that you make lanyards with. They did those everyday last week. So life is always interesting at work.

I said earlier the timing is perfect because in about a month I will be going to ZAMBIA on a mission trip! I am so excited to be going and I am excited to see what God is going to do! I will be spending 3 weeks in Lusaka Zambia loving on children and teaching them that the Lord is my Shepard and growing so much. Please be in prayer about this trip. Pray that God will be glorfied and for safety and to prepare these childrens heart for what God is going to teach them! I cant wait and I am hoping that while I am there I will be able to update you on what is going on!

cant wait to begin this journey of blogging! I hope you enjoy it as well!
