5 months

The past two months have been a blur. So much has gone on and sadly I have not been the greatest at taking pictures. But here are some and an update on Abigail!

Measurements:
Weight: 1 week ago she weighed 15 lbs and was 25 inches long. This girl is growing like a weed!

Diapers:
Size 2.

Clothes:
She still wears some 3 months and 3-6 month clothing.

Schedule:
She is on the eat-awake-sleep schedule right now. She is an efficient eater so it only takes her about 10 minutes to eat and then she is normally up for about an hour and a half. Then she sleeps for about 2-3 hours. She is on a  4 hour schedule she eats at 8 12 4 8 and 10.

Sleeping:
NO MORE RELUX! WOO HOO she doesnt sleep in a swing. Right after that last post I started transitioning her back to her bed. I put the mattress on an angle just to see. She loves her bed. Usually I can swaddle her up, lay her down on her side, and she falls asleep quickly. She is a good little sleeper. She goes to bed around 8:30ish. I get her out to feed her at 10 (she doesnt wake up) and most days she will sleep till between 5 and 6. After that feeding she falls back asleep till usually 7:30 or 8. A HUGE blessing. I still look forward to her sleeping from 8pm to 8am.

Eating:
We started solid foods around 4 1/2 months. She was NOT content with just breastmilk. So far she has tried applesauce, bananas, and sweet potatoes. The bananas are her favorite. She will eat 1-2 solid feedings a day and the rest she nurses.

Likes: She still loves people. Her new trick is finding her paci (this takes a while) and putting it into her mouth. She likes her book, and chewing on her sophie giraffe. She enjoys sticking her toes in her mouth and chewing on them. :) She loves bright colors. especially on a tv or a phone.

Dislikes:
Getting swaddled because she knows the blanket and she knows it means bed time! ha. She is also not a huge fan of the car seat right now. She only fusses when we buckle her, but then she is good!

Teeth:
0, but she is drooling more and wanting to gum at everything in sight. I have a feeling it won't be far off.

Milestones:
She can roll both directions now. She is reaching out and grabbing at things. Most of the time she grabs something and it goes directly to the mouth. She is beginning to find her paci on her own.  (woo hoo) I know she has accomplished quite a bit this past month or so but forgive me... I can't remember everything right this minute!

Here are some pictures for you!

3 months...ok 3 1/2 months

Yes... I am late. But it seems like every time I think about writing a post something happens! Shocker, right?

This has been a big month for Abigail. She has accomplished SO many things. It has been so fun to watch her grow..but I am sad to see some of the sweet newborn things leave. What  I miss most is her falling asleep on me, or being able to rock her to sleep. Those are sweet times, but she is wanting to fall asleep on her own now.

Measurements:
Weight: (at two month appt) weighed 12.5 length: 22.5. But She has definitely grown. So these are not accurate

Diapers:
Size 1. We still are LOVING cloth diapering. They are truly super easy... and yes it is gross having to put them in the washing machine but that is was extra long, super duty gloves are for!

Clothes:
HA... she has been in 3 mo clothes for a long time but in most of those now she is busting at the seams so we are slowly transitioning to 3-6 month clothes!

Schedule:
She is on the eat-awake-sleep schedule right now. She is an efficient eater so it only takes her about 10 minutes to eat and then she is normally up for about an hour and a half. Then she sleeps for about 2 hours. She is on a  3- 3 1/2 hour schedule.

Sleeping:
I can now put her in her swing awake and she falls asleep. Most of the time it only takes crying for a few minutes and if I stick her paci back in she is zonked! haha. Today she has cried and just fallen asleep without me having to go back in there.

Eating:
She eats like a champ. She has days where she acts like she isn't satisfied, but most days she is just plum happy!

Likes:
She LOVES to smile at people. She loves people and being around new people. She loves her play mat that she got for Christmas from Nana and Papa. She likes her paci. She has been working on those hands, shoving them in her mouth. She is beginning to find her thumb which I am not sure if I am happy about that. haha.

Dislikes:
For the most part she is a very calm, happy girl. She is only fussy when she is hungry, tired, or having tummy issues with her reflux.

Milestones:
BIG STUFF: She will laugh if you tickle her neck. She sometime laughs back at you if you laugh at her. She coos a lot throughout the day. Her neck is strong enough now that she can sit in a bumbo or in an exercauser and play. TODAY she rolled over from her back to her belly (I will attach a video). I am sure there are more!

I will leave you with pictures from the month!

Sleepy Owl!

She is out! So precious!
